Copyright, Restricted Use & Report Authenticity Notice

Certified Auto Appraisers Inc. · AVR Group Auto Appraisal Services · American Society of Certified Auto Appraisers (ASCAA)

Effective November 4, 2026.

1. Ownership and copyright

Every appraisal report, diminished value report, actual cash value report, total loss appraisal, loss of use report, and related document issued by Certified Auto Appraisers Inc., including its text, analysis, layout, structure, tables, templates, exhibits arrangement, and methodology presentation, is an original work of authorship owned by Certified Auto Appraisers Inc. and protected under the United States Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 101 et seq.) and international copyright law. © 2026 Certified Auto Appraisers Inc. All rights reserved.

ASCAA™, American Society of Certified Auto Appraisers™, the ASCAA logo, Certified Auto Appraiser (CAA)™, ASCAA Certified™ and AVR Group Auto Appraisal Services™ are trademarks used in commerce since the dates of first use, and are claimed by their owners. Use of them on any document we did not issue is prohibited.

2. Limited license to the client

When a report is issued, the named client receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that report solely for the specific vehicle, claim and intended use stated in the report, including providing complete, unaltered copies to the insurer, adjuster, attorney, umpire, lender or court handling that claim. No other rights are granted.

3. Prohibited uses

Without our prior written permission, no person may:

4. Counterfeit and AI-generated reports

A document assembled from our work, by AI or otherwise, is not a certified appraisal. It has no certified appraiser behind it, no workfile, no signature authority and no one who can testify to it. Submitting such a document to an insurance company as a genuine appraisal may constitute copyright infringement, trademark infringement, forgery and insurance fraud under applicable state and federal law (including, in Texas, Texas Penal Code Chapter 35 and § 32.21).

5. Enforcement

We actively monitor for unauthorized copies of our reports. Every report carries a unique Report ID, a client-specific watermark and a digital fingerprint that allow us to identify its source. When we find infringement or counterfeit use, we may, without further notice: notify the insurer or adjuster that received the document; report the matter to the applicable state Department of Insurance fraud unit and the National Insurance Crime Bureau; issue DMCA takedown notices; and pursue all civil remedies available, including injunctive relief, actual or statutory damages (up to $150,000 per work for willful infringement under 17 U.S.C. § 504(c)) and attorney's fees.

6. Sample reports

Because of the misuse described above, we do not provide sample or redacted appraisal reports to anyone. Each report is prepared for one vehicle and one claim.

7. Verifying a report

Insurers, adjusters, attorneys and courts can confirm any report at certifiedautoappraisers.com/verify-report. If a report does not verify, or its digital fingerprint does not match, it was not issued by us in that form.
