Refund and Cancellation Policy

Effective October 29, 2026. Applies to purchases made on or after this date.

This policy covers membership and course purchases from the American Society of Certified Auto Appraisers ("ASCAA"), operated by Certified Auto Appraisers Inc. It is part of our Terms of Service.

1. Courses

ASCAA courses are digital educational content. Once you open the material, it cannot be returned.

• Nonrefundable once accessed. Course purchases, including single courses, course bundles and Master-track courses, are nonrefundable once any part of the course has been accessed. Accessing a course means opening any lesson, video, reading, download, quiz or exam.
• Unopened courses. If you have not accessed a course, you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase by emailing certifiedautoappraisers@gmail.com.
• Bundles. A bundle is one purchase. Once any course in the bundle has been accessed, the whole bundle is nonrefundable.
• Exam results. Not passing an exam, or deciding the material does not fit your plans, is not a basis for a refund.
• Access records. ASCAA keeps records of course access, including login, lesson and exam activity. These records decide whether a course has been accessed.

2. Membership

• New annual membership. You may cancel a new annual membership and receive a full refund within 14 days of the original purchase.
• Cancellation after 14 days. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals. Your membership stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. No partial or prorated refunds are issued.
• Renewals. If you asked to cancel before your renewal date and were still charged, the renewal will be refunded in full. Any other renewal may be refunded if you request it within 7 days of the renewal charge.
• Monthly plans. You may cancel a monthly plan at any time to stop the next charge. Monthly charges already processed are not refunded.
• Effect of cancellation. When membership ends, your public directory listing and member pricing end with it. A Certified Auto Appraiser (CAA) designation you have already earned is not removed just because you cancel, unless Section 4 applies.
• Member-priced courses. If your membership is refunded, courses you bought at member pricing remain subject to Section 1.

3. Exceptions we will always refund

• Duplicate or accidental double charges.
• Billing errors by ASCAA.
• Course content ASCAA cannot make available to you because of a technical problem on our end, if we cannot fix it within a reasonable time.

4. Course content license and misuse

• Personal license. Your course purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use the course material for your own education. ASCAA and Certified Auto Appraisers Inc. keep all rights in the content.
• What you may not do. You may not copy, record, download in bulk, share, resell or publish course content. You may not use it to build a competing course, certification program, website or organization.
• What happens if you do. Misuse ends your access without a refund. ASCAA may suspend or revoke any ASCAA certification and directory listing, and may pursue its legal remedies.

5. Chargebacks

Please contact us before filing a dispute with your card issuer. We will answer refund requests within 2 business days.

If you file a chargeback on a purchase that is not refundable under this policy:

• Your course access and directory listing are suspended while the dispute is open.
• ASCAA may suspend or revoke any certification connected to the disputed purchase.
• ASCAA will give the card issuer your purchase records, your acceptance of this policy at checkout and your course access records.

6. How to request a refund or cancel

Email certifiedautoappraisers@gmail.com from the address on your account. Include your name and the purchase you are asking about. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method, and your bank may take 5–10 business days to post them.
