Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the American Society of Certified Auto Appraisers ("ASCAA") and Certified Auto Appraisers Inc., doing business as AVR Group Auto Appraisal Services (together, "we"), handle information collected through certifiedautoappraisers.com, our city appraisal websites, and our MCP connector for AI assistants.
Information we collect
- Appraisal requests. Name, email, phone, vehicle details (year, make, model, VIN, mileage), insurance and claim details, documents and photos you or an assistant acting for you submit.
- Member accounts. Name, email, contact details, certification records, course progress and directory profile information for ASCAA members.
- Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe and Square. We do not store full card numbers.
- Technical data. IP address, browser type and request logs used for security, rate limiting and site operation.
How we use it
- To review your request, prepare appraisals and reports, send invoices, and communicate with you about your claim or membership.
- To operate member accounts, courses, certification and the public appraiser directory (only profile fields members choose to publish).
- To protect our sites and services against fraud and abuse.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (for example hosting, email delivery, payment processing and cloud storage), with parties you direct us to (such as an insurance adjuster or appraiser on your claim), or when required by law.
AI assistants and connectors
If you use an AI assistant (such as Meta Muse) with our connector, the assistant sends us only the information needed to answer its question or submit your request. We handle that information under this policy. The assistant provider's own privacy policy governs what it collects.
Retention
Appraisal files and supporting records are kept as long as needed to support our reports and meet professional workfile and legal obligations. You may ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing certifiedautoappraisers@gmail.com.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under 18.
